Privacy Policy

Vernal mobile app (App Store and Google Play listings). Effective date: 01.09.2026.

1. Operator

The data controller is OSOO NanoApps Pro (Kyrgyz Republic).

2. Data we process

The amount depends on which features you use. Typical data includes:

• Email — to sign in (Supabase Auth) and link your profile.
• Garden location — coordinates and/or locality, hardiness zone, frost window, timezone. Location is requested once when you set the garden place; there is no background tracking.
• Garden and calendar — plants you add, planting dates, care events, notification settings, and preferences (including an optional biodynamic / lunar factor).
• Plant photos — for on-demand AI diagnosis and optional garden-journal photos. Files are stored in a private bucket and accessed via short-lived signed URLs.
• Device push token — for “today’s tasks” reminders if you keep basic notifications on.
• Interface language and technical data needed to run the service (locale, session identifiers). We also store internal activation marks (including first open of the lunar calendar) on our servers — no advertising SDKs and no sharing of those marks with third-party analytics.

3. Purposes

• creating and maintaining your account;
• a personal planting and care calendar for your garden and region;
• weather alerts and astronomical / lunar info for the chosen place;
• AI plant diagnosis from a photo (only when you request it);
• push reminders for scheduled tasks;
• product improvement using technical activation marks stored only on our servers;
• responding to support requests;
• legal compliance and service security.

4. Legal bases

We process data to provide the app (performance of a contract with you) and with your consent when the OS asks for permissions (camera, photos, location, notifications). For users in the EEA/UK we rely on GDPR contract necessity and, where applicable, legitimate interests.

5. Storage and recipients

Account and garden data are processed on our servers and by processors we use to provide the service. We do not sell personal data.

• Supabase (authentication, database, file storage; EU region eu-central-1) — account and garden data.
• Open-Meteo — weather for the garden coordinates (no photos or journal content).
• Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) — reverse geocoding for a locality label.
• Plant.id (Kindwise) — plant identification / health assessment from the photo you submit for diagnosis.
• OpenAI — text care recommendations from the identification result and garden context, without sending the original photo.
• Expo — push delivery using the device token.

Some processors may handle data outside your country solely to provide the app features.

6. Payments

This version of Vernal does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions (Pro) on App Store or Google Play. Store payment processors do not receive purchase data from this build. Free plan limits may still be shown for information.

7. Retention

We keep data while your account exists, or longer if the law requires it (for example to resolve disputes). After account deletion we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable time, except where retention is legally required.

8. Your rights

You may request:

• information about processing of your data;
• correction of inaccurate data;
• deletion of your account and related personal data;
• withdrawal of optional device permissions (via OS and app settings).

Delete the account in the app: More → Delete account. You can also email support@nanoapps.pro from the address linked to the account. We aim to respond within 30 days (or the period required by law).

9. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child provided data without a parent or guardian’s consent, write to support@nanoapps.pro.

10. Security

We use organizational and technical measures: garden data is scoped to the signed-in user, API tokens are verified, diagnosis and journal photos sit in a private bucket. No method of internet transmission is completely secure.

11. Changes

The current version is always at https://nanoapps.pro/privacy/en. Material changes may be announced in the app or by email.
